.COM changed to .NET

In September 2002 the project has undergone a name change from .com to .net. The reason for this is purely because "dot com" websites are associated with profit making organisations, and this would be misleading in the case of our project. It is important that present and future participants know that no organisations gain financially through this experiment. We hope that by changing the name to climateprediction.net we can make this more clear.

This is the only thing about the project that has changed. The people, the partners and, most importantly, the aims of the project are still very much the same.
