Paris floods made almost twice as likely due to climate change

The World Weather Attribution team have analysed the role of climate change in the recent floods in France. Using multiple models (including weather@home) and observational analysis, their findings estimate the event to be almost twice as likely due to climate change (80% more likely in the Seine valley and 90% in the Loire valley). All methods consistently showed an increased risk due to climate change of at least 40%.
